At the helm of Decoding Doctor is Stephanie Cecchini, CPC, CEMC, CEPFG. With 30 years of experience, she is an executive-level consultant specializing in compliance auditing and medical documentation training for healthcare providers and coders.

Stephanie’s career history includes serving as the VP of Product at AAPC, where she catered to the medical coder community, and as the VP of Coding Operations at Aviacode, collaborating with extensive medical groups, hospitals, and health systems. Her role as Chief Audit Officer at Parses, Inc. saw her working closely with physicians, payers, and the Office of Inspector General (OIG).  She is recognized as a respected authority in her field, with expertise that encompasses a wide range of topics, including Medical Billing and Coding, Professional Fees, Revenue Cycle Management, Compliance, Payer Overpayment Recovery, OIG and Payer Audits, Medicare Advantage, Risk Adjustment, Fee-For-Service (FFS), the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning in business operations, and Team Building.

A graduate of Western Governors University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management, Stephanie is a staunch advocate for documentation reform to mitigate physician burnout.
